A quick Mood tutorial

Your city.
Your way.

Mood is your guide to discovering Black-owned businesses, local culture, places to eat, things to do, and experiences worth building a day around. Here is how to get started in about a minute.

Start exploring the Mood Map
01

Discover your next stop

Choose a city or neighborhood. Search the Mood Map by business name, category, or what you feel like doing. Open a listing to see its details and ways to connect.

02

Explore the place

Check the address, photos, website, and available details. Use directions to plan a visit. Listings and ownership labels are shown according to the information Mood has verified.

03

Build your day

Open Create a Mood, choose your market, and add places in the order you want to visit. Put food, shopping, culture, wellness, and experiences together in one itinerary.

04

Follow your route

Start route guidance from your itinerary, choose a travel mode when available, and allow location access if you want live position updates. Check local signs and conditions as you travel.

05

Save it for later

Sign in to save your Mood and return to it from My Mood. Your next trip can start where the last one left off, whether you are exploring New York or another available market.

06

Stay in the Mood

Turn on Mood Alerts if you want timely updates, events, and available promotions. You control your notification permissions in your device or browser settings.
